CARE Component 1 Climate Resilience Workshop in Kathmandu: A Collaborative Milestone
On 2–3 July 2025, the CARE Component Workshop Nepal brought together national and international experts to review progress and outline the next steps in strengthening climate resilience. Held at Aloft Kathmandu Hotel, this important event was co-hosted by the Government of Nepal, RIMES (Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System), and the World Bank.

Managing a multi-stakeholder workshop of this scale requires meticulous planning, stakeholder coordination, and cultural sensitivity. As Nepal’s trusted event management company for development and climate events, Vogue handled:

Scaling Up CARE Component 1’s Impact
The CARE (Climate Adaptation and Resilience for South Asia) program, supported by the World Bank and implemented by RIMES, aims to strengthen climate risk-informed planning and services in South Asia. This final workshop for Component 1 reviewed national progress, institutional learning, and presented a roadmap for scaling climate services in Nepal. CARE Component Workshop Nepal.

- Review of national frameworks for climate risk data and forecasting
- Mapping of development partners for future capacity development
- Finalization of Standard Forecast Products (SFPs)
- Institutional pathways for sustaining CARE Component 1’s outcomes
The workshop was a critical step in aligning national policies and technical capacity for long-term climate resilience in Nepal.






Engaging Stakeholders Across Sectors
Participants represented ministries, departments, hydromet agencies, disaster risk management units, and donor organizations. Vogue facilitated:
- Breakout group management and reporting
- Display areas for visual presentations and infographics

We ensured that the physical and technical setup supported meaningful dialogue and inclusive engagement throughout the two days.

As the workshop concluded, participants jointly identified capacity development priorities, including:

- Integration of SFPs into sectoral planning
- Continued collaboration with regional and global partners
- Digital tools for risk mapping and decision-making
